LoveNote for Lovers. . . You are the architect of your own discomfort. The secret is to never wallow in the suffering any longer than is necessary to learn the lesson the suffering presents. LoveNote for Lovers. . . Affirmation - I know that if I want my love relationship to fulfill its purpose, I must enlighten my experience of it. I must drop judgments, pre-conceived notions, opinions, expectations, positions and beliefs about it. When I do this, a miracle occurs. The miracle that occurs is that the love relationship I have becomes the love relationship I want; the one that nurtures and supports me; the one that truly empowers my love partner and me. LoveNote for Lovers. . . A determination to resolve conflict by conversation offers a chance for healing and promotes the opportunity to become closer to the one you love. Cherish your differences. They are there for a purpose. Learn from them by learning to freely discuss them. Withhold your disapproval. Listen with acceptance and understanding. Conversation occurs when someone is speaking and someone is listening. Being an attentive listener often offers an opportunity for healing and suggests a deeper level of love than simply saying, "I love you!" LoveNote for Lovers. . . For Women Only - Men tend to grow at their own speed. Unless your love partner is intentional about personal growth, anything you say to help may only cause him to feel that you think he is broken. Right or wrong, men inherently believe they can handle their own stuff. This may or may not be true, but being insistent about helping him grow can temporarily shut him out of your life. Quit trying to fix him. Be there for him when he is ready to be cared for, otherwise let him be and quietly attend to yourself.
