The commitment that supports a healthy partnership is the commitment each has to the other to always be working on the relationship; a commitment to always be in a dance with one another, showering each other with compassion and understanding. LoveNote for Lovers. . . The psychological importance of working through painful resentments must not be underestimated. When old patterns are broken, a whole new world of possibility is born. Not to release and rise above suppressed feelings of hurt and anger is to remain imprisoned by them. LoveNote for Lovers. . . Affirmation - My love partner and I share similar spiritual values. Higher spiritual values give meaning and purpose to our relationship. They determine what we will turn away from and what we will move toward. Shared spiritual ideas are the basis for a lasting, fulfilling love relationship. LoveNote for Lovers. . . Often we are not present in our relationship. We are either looking into the past with regret or into the future with concern. This is it! To experience the reality of the present we must learn to live in the present; to be present to the experience of right now. The possibilities of the present are only available to those who are willing to live and love in the present. We cannot change the past and a concern for the future allows us to be absent from the present. Both options keep us stuck! Live and love every moment of right now! A man goes to see a relationship coach. "Something terrible is happening and I have to talk to you about it."
The coach asked, "What's wrong?"
The man replied, "My wife is poisoning me."
The coach, very surprised by this, asks, "How can that be?"
The man then pleads, "I'm telling you, I'm certain she's poisoning me, what should I do?"
The coach then offers, "Tell you what. Let me talk to her, I'll see what I can find out and I'll let you know."
A week later the coach calls the man and says, "Well, I spoke to your wife. I spoke to her on the phone for three hours. You want my advice?"
The man said, "Yes," and the coach replied, "Take the poison."
