LoveNote for Lovers. . . For Women Only - When you feel your love partner lagging behind in the relationship, it is often difficult to back away from what seems to be a responsibility to assist him. Smothering your lover with attempts to help can give the appearance that you think he is unable to make his own responsible choices. No one can change anything without the freedom to do so. Smothering feels like 'no freedom' to a man. Your energy will soon be depleted if your love partner has little desire to change. Nurture him with your love and support. Be there when he needs someone to listen. Only offer help when it is requested. LoveNote for Lovers. . . Often we are not present in our relationship. We are either looking into the past with regret or into the future with concern. This is it! To experience the reality of the present we must learn to live in the present; to be present to the experience of right now. The possibilities of the present are only available to those who are willing to live and love in the present. We cannot change the past and a concern for the future allows us to be absent from the present. Both options keep us stuck! Live and love every moment of right now! LoveNote for Lovers. . . Letting go of behavioral patterns that no longer serve us often feels as though we are risking our safety and comfort. Calculated risks taken for the benefit of our own well being are worth taking. This form of movement is safer than standing still. Those who remain stationary become an easy target for misery of their own creation. The energy we expend by holding on often leaves us drained and with a feeling of hopelessness. It takes no strength to let go; only courage. Courage is a byproduct of a positive self- image. The soldier serving in Afghanistan was annoyed and upset when his girl wrote breaking off their engagement and asking for her photograph back.
He went out and collected from his friends all the unwanted photographs of women that he could find, bundled them all together and sent them back with a note saying, "I regret to inform you that I cannot remember which one is you - please keep your photo and return the others."
